What it is
PikaChef books a vetted private chef to cook in your kitchen: dinner for two, a party, a cooking lesson or a week of meal prep.
Why it’s good
- Chefs pass a tasting, ID and hygiene checks before they can be booked
- Book a menu or ask for a quote, priced per guest
- Your payment is held by PikaBox and released only after the dinner
Who’s eating?
One chef, any table.
Tell us who’s at the table. You see the chefs, menus and prices that fit it, and the chef sees every allergy before she says yes.

How booking works
Agree the price. Then relax.
Every booking runs through PikaBox, from the first message to the last plate.
You
Choose a menu, or ask for a quote
Pick a date, the guests and a signature menu, or describe the dinner you want. Add the allergies at the table and the kitchen you have.

The chefs
Compare quotes, or counter
Chefs quote per guest. Put them side by side, counter once or twice in chat, or ask a question first, until it feels right.

Held safely
Pay, and PikaBox holds it
Pay with M-Pesa. The chef can see the booking is paid, but nothing is released to her yet.

On the night
A dinner you can follow
Your chef checks in when she arrives. Follow the courses, see the allergies she is cooking around, and tip in a tap.

Your code
Release it with your code
Happy? Give the chef your four-digit code. Only then is she paid. Something not right? Keep the code and get help.

Group bookings
Big table, split bill.
Invite friends to the booking and everyone pays their own share with M-Pesa. The chef is confirmed when the table is covered; nobody chases anybody.
- Split evenly, by couple, or the host covers the kids
- Gentle reminders, so you don’t have to send them
- Up to 60 guests, with a second chef for bigger tables

More than one dinner
A chef for the whole week.
Some of the best bookings aren’t parties at all.
Chef Sundays
Your week, prepped on Sunday.
A chef comes for three hours on Sunday and leaves five dinners labelled in your fridge, low salt for Dad and nut-free for Amani. Weekly; skip a Sunday or pause whenever you like.

Kitchen lessons
Lessons for your house help.
A chef teaches Mary in your own kitchen: knife skills, food safety and new dishes the family will love. The skills, the recipe cards and the certificate are hers to keep.
